Turks and Caicos
This year has been an incredible year of travel for me. I am so thankful for the opportunity to travel around the world, to explore new and exciting places, and to meet the incredible people that I do - learning about their stories and experiencing their culture, listening to the intricacies of a new language, and trying the tastiest delicacies, unique to each region. It's what I live for!
It's been about a month or so since I returned from my latest adventure, and there are no truer words than "there's no place like home". I am so happy to be back in the Caribbean, enjoying the warm weather, taking advantage of this beautiful island life (sun, sand and sea), and most importantly, enjoying quality time with my family and friends.
With that said, 2017 is fast approaching, and I'm already dreaming about my next getaway. One of the perks of living in the Caribbean is the close proximity to all of the islands, which means that you're never far away from another beautiful paradise, and there is always an excuse for a luxurious getaway. Since I started this blog, I have written many posts (and shared lots of pictures) of my adventures around the world, including my trips to St. Thomas, and my island hopping excursions to St. John and some of the British Virgin Islands (like Tortola, Virgen Gorda, and Jost Van Dyke, to name a few). However, there is still so much more to explore - so much more to do, so much more to see, and so much more food to eat.
At the top of my list is Turks and Caicos, which is known for having some of the most pristine beaches, with beautiful turquoise ocean waters that seem like something out of a dream (or an instagram post, #vacationgoals). And what better way to start off the new year, than with some much needed rest and relaxation at one of the most dreamy destinations! To me, this can only mean three things: relaxing by the beach (with a possible full body massage by the ocean! please?), working on my tan (carefully, and with SPF of course), and water sports (lots and lots of water sports). And yes, don't let this fabulous plus size figure fool you, I will spend all day in my swimsuit (one piece, bikini or other), and I'll be sure to have the most amazing time - just don't forget to bring some snorkel gear, a paddle board, and maybe even a kayak!
I am so looking forward to visiting Turks and Caicos, and all the other travel destinations in my future. So much so, that I am excited to have connected with Luxury Retreats, a company that specializes in luxury vacation rentals around the world. Their list of vacation rentals across the Caribbean is beyond impressive, and the villas available in the Turks and Caicos are out of this world - the best places to stay in Turks and Caicos. These beach front properties have incredible amenities, from infinity pools to outdoor showers, fire pits and hammocks galore - everything you need to add a little luxury to your next vacation! #seeyouthere
