Skincare Routine

Those who know me can tell you that I'm obsessed with anything (and everything) beauty related.  For me, it's all about fresh and radiant skin, and it all starts with a great skincare routine that will have you looking and feeling your best, (and of course, prepped for that beauty face beat).

Where skincare products are concerned, I tend to gravitate towards those that help hydrate my skin and brighten my complexion, as well as anti-aging products that will help maintain a youthful appearance and reduce any possible signs of fine lines.

Here are a few of my favorites (and a few others I swear by)...

After a trip to Seoul, and learning a little bit about Korean beauty and the 10-step skincare routine, I have incorporated a few of those steps into my own skincare regimen; one of those being the double cleansing.  I begin with an oil-based cleanser to remove any make-up, dirt or impurities.  I'm currently using (1) Aromatica's Orange Cleansing Sherbet, which I totally love, but can also recommend Banila Co.'s Clean It Zero, both available on Peach & Lily (which is my holy grail for all things k-beauty related).  Then, I follow with a water-based cleanser, like (2) La Prairie's Foam Cleanser, La Mer's The Cleansing Foam or Ileana Irvine's Facial Shampoo, to help remove any remaining residue.

Then, and maybe only two to three times per week, I exfoliate to remove any dead skin (which sounds super gross, right?).  I'm currently using (3) Skin Inc.'s Pure Revival Peel, which is an exfoliating peel that helps prep the skin to absorb all the nutrients from the serums, masks, moisturizers, etc.

Next, I use a toner, which for years I thought were completely useless, but have finally found one that I love and use religiously; (4) Shangpree's S-Energy All Day Preparation Toner.

Then, I follow up with a serum like (5) La Mer's The Concentrate, which gives my skin an extra boost when its feeling a little dry or when I've spent too much time in the sun.  I have been meaning to step-up my serum game, and have been wanting to try Skin Incs' serums, as I've heard such great things about them.  So, maybe you'll see a post about them sometime soon (wink wink).

Next, I use a moisturizer like (6) La Mer's The Moisturizing Soft Cream or La Prairie's Skin Caviar Luxe Cream, which are both in my skincare rotation.

Eye Creams

Then, I compliment that with (7) La Mer's The Eye Concentrate or La Prairie's Skin Caviar Luxe Eye Lift Cream, which are both rich and super hydrating.

And, last but certainly not least, are (8) Drunk Elephant's Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil and Laura Mercier's Flawless Skin Infusion de Rose Nourishing Oil, which I use on occasion to give my skin some extra hydration and glow. And, of course, if you follow me on snapchat, you know that I am very much obsessed with any and all face masks.  You can find a few of my faves here, and of course, make sure to follow me on snapchat via samanthasang.
